Adult Writers Group

The Adult Writers Group meets on the second Sunday of the month at 2pm, and it’s open to anyone who wants to improve their writing skills in a positive environment. No previous writing experience necessary!

We’ll have writing prompts and discussion to get you going, and feel free to bring in something you’re working on to workshop with the group.

Teen Animation Workshop: Composing Film Scores with Michael Giacchino and Andrea Datzman

Join us for another workshop for teens all about animated filmmaking on Thursday, August 15th at 5:30pm!

We’re welcoming Inside Out 2 composer Andrea Datzman, and Michael Giacchino – the Oscar-winning composer for Pixar’s Up – for a rundown of how great music enhances the emotional resonance of animated films.

This event is for teens ages 12-18.

Summer Event Series: Journey Under the Sea Traveling Exhibit

A fan-favorite Summer Reading special guest returns with another awesome museum exhibit! The University of Oregon’s Museum of Natural and Cultural History will take us on a Journey Under the Sea, investigating the wide variety of life forms that call the ocean off Oregon’s coast home.
