Halloween Celebration

We’re BIG fans of Halloween here at the library. We’re getting festive with crafts, carnival-style games, and a screening of the 1993 Disney classic Hocus Pocus! (The film is rated PG and runs for 1 hour, 36 minutes.) Halloween enthusiasts of all ages are welcome to join in – bring the whole family!

Finch Robotics Workshop for Ages 6-12

Learn computer science and coding by commanding the Finch mini robot at a hands-on workshop on Sunday, October 6th from 1 pm to 3 pm! This event is for ages 6-12.

If you’ve attended our Finch workshops in the past, we’ll have new projects to work on; if this is your first robotics event, we’ll guide you through making the Finch robot do its thing. No previous coding experience necessary!

Time Travel Crafts: Lucet Braiding

Join us on the last Tuesday of the month at 5pm for crafts made with historical techniques! This month, we're learning how to braid decorative and functional cordage with a lucet! (What’s a lucet, you ask? It’s a two-pronged tool that helps you loop the cord together. Medieval ones were made of bone, but modern ones resemble a tuning fork made out of wood.) For all ages!
