Summer Reading 2024

An illustration of a crowd of children and animals parading past a library circulation desk, each carrying books. The librarian behind the desk is an elephant in a cardigan. The slogan "Read, Renew, Repeat" is featured on bags throughout the image.

Summer Reading Challenge

Read and win prizes this summer! Readers of all ages can participate. Pick up a reading tracker at your local library!

Kids under 5 will participate in pre-literacy activities to earn progress on their trackers. (You can find some ideas for things to do together on the tracker itself.)

Children 6-12 will read 15 minutes a day to earn prizes, and teens 12-18 will read 30 minutes a day.

Kids and teens under 18 will earn a free book prize at 15 and 30 days of participation, and a Summer Reading 2024 t-shirt for 45 days. There are also lots of opportunities to win trinkets from our "treasure chest" – you can find more details on your reading tracker.

Adults can pick up a Bingo Challenge Board and complete a variety of tasks to earn raffle tickets! We'll be raffling off small gift cards to Canvasback Books and Dutch Bros weekly, and larger gift cards for Jalapenos Taco Shop and Green Blade Bakery at the end of the summer, along with some other surprises.

Registration for the Summer Reading Challenge starts June 17th!
