Calling all readers in third through twelfth grades! The downtown Klamath County Library is recruiting for our latest Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB) season, and this year we’re aiming to participate in the regional tournament in Medford in the spring!
Read books about real issues! The Real Reads Book Group tackles a variety of current social issues – race, gender, immigration, poverty, criminal justice, and more – with nonfiction and memoir titles. We meet on the first Saturday of the month at 3pm at the downtown Klamath County Library.
The group will be discussing How the South Won the Civil War by Heather Cox Richardson on Saturday, October 5th at 3pm.
Join us for a variety of adult board and card games!
Build a beautiful tile mosaic in Azul, become a train magnate in Ticket to Ride, win a magical fight in Dungeon Brawl and much more! (Feel free to bring your favorite game to share – aim for something you can teach a table of 3-6 players in an hour or so at most.)

Need to replace your Social Security card, update information or apply for benefits? Let the downtown Klamath County Library save you a trip to Medford! We’ll have Social Security representatives at the library on Thursday, September 12th from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm to help you with the sorts of tasks that usually require you to get online or to head to the regional office in Medford.
The Klamath Basin Genealogical Society (KBGS) is hosting their annual all-day genealogy seminar at the downtown Klamath County Library on Saturday, September 21st! Doors open at 9 am; the first workshop starts at 9:30 am. (The library will open to the general public at 10 am as usual.)
Learn computer science and coding by commanding the Finch mini robot at a hands-on workshop on Friday, September 20th from 4 pm to 5 pm! This event is for ages 6-12.
If you’ve attended our Finch workshops in the past, we’ll have new projects to work on; if this is your first robotics event, we’ll guide you through making the Finch robot do its thing.
