Oregon Month Project Kits

February is Oregon Month! Oregon became a state on February 14th, 1859, and we’re celebrating the natural and cultural history of our state with a variety of themed kits! Pick up a new kit each week at the Youth Services desk. For ages 5-12.

(And by popular demand, these craft kits will now be available at the Bonanza, Chemult, Chiloquin, Malin, Merrill and South Suburban branch libraries, while supplies last.)

Get Free Tax E-Filing Help!

Get help e-filing your taxes at the library! Folks from the Oregon Department of Revenue will help folks file their state and federal taxes online on Wednesday, February 12th at the downtown Klamath County Library.

While tax preparers will be at the library all day (10 am to 8 pm), sessions are by appointment only and must be pre-registered for a the downtown library’s Information Desk.

The History of the Klamath Tribes

The Klamath, Modoc, and Yahooskin peoples – collectively known today as the Klamath Tribes – have lived on and stewarded the Klamath Basin region since time immemorial. Discuss some of this history in an online Zoom meeting with Perry Chocktoot, Jr., Director of the Klamath Tribes’ Culture and Heritage Department, on Wednesday, January 20th at 2pm.

The presentation will be followed by a brief business meeting of the Friends.
