Freedom From Smoking Support Group

You can quit smoking, and we can help!

In this seminar series based on the American Lung Association’s Freedom from Smoking course, you’ll learn how to prep for a “quit day,” and build strategies to stick with your resolve to quit for good!

This group will meet on Tuesdays from 2pm to 3:45pm starting Tuesday, Jan. 20th. No pre-registration is needed.

Great Decisions 2026 Registration Period

The foreign policy discussion group Great Decisions is back – hosted this year at both the downtown Klamath County Library (126 S. 3rd St.) and the South Suburban Branch Library (3625 Summers Lane)!

We’ll meet for eight weeks: on Thursdays at the downtown library from 1 pm to 3 pm starting January 22nd; and weekends on Saturdays at the South Suburban library from 1 pm to 3 pm starting January 24th. (You’ll chose whether you want to be in the Thursday group or the Saturday group when you register.)

Doc Talk with Dr. Decker: Seasonal Affective Disorder

Sky Lakes family medicine physician Dr. Stewart Decker is back for another jargon-free discussion on health issues! This month will cover Seasonal Affective Disorder and how to support yourself in the winter months, plus a town-hall-style “patient Q&A” of general questions. (The Q&A is also a great time to suggest future Doc Talk topics!) Like our Lay Person Legal presenters, Dr. Decker’s ability to comment on your specific condition is limited.

The Aging Journey: Death Doulas

Our The Aging Journey seminar series continues!

Staff from Klamath Basin Behavioral Health (KBBH) are giving presentations on a variety of topics of interest to older folks Thursdays at 10 am at the downtown Klamath County Library.

Each presentation can be attended as a stand-alone; stop by for the topics that interest you!
