Adult Board Game Night

The library’s gong sounded, marking closing time. “All right,” the players said as they packed up the pieces of Die Hard: The Board Game, on the cusp of seeing hero John McClane finish his battle against the heavily-armed thieves in Nakatomi Plaza. “We’ll finish it next time.”

That was 18 months ago.

Conservation Photography in the Klamath Basin: A Short History

Since the early 1900s, wildlife photographers have used their images to advocate for conservation of the country’s natural resources, including the creation of the Lower Klamath National Wildlife Refuge. Learn how wildlife photography helps folks connect with nature in America’s public lands with an online presentation by park ranger Steve Rooker on Wednesday, September 15th at 2pm.

You don’t need a telescope to search the night skies! Learn all about how you can use binoculars, mobile device apps and your good ol’ eyesight to explore astronomy with Astronomy at Home on Thursday, September 16th at 6pm at the downtown Klamath County Library.

Book to Film: The Aftermath

The Book to Film Book Club meets on the last Wednesday of every month at 5:30pm to watch films based on books and discuss both the book and the movie. Pick up your copy of the current title at the Reference and Information Desk.

We'll be discussing The Aftermath by Rhidian Brook and the book's 2019 film adaptation on Wednesday, September 29th at 5:30pm.
