A fan-favorite Summer Reading special guest is back! The University of Oregon’s Museum of Natural and Cultural History returns with a touring exhibit celebrating our state’s rich geological resources: Oregon Rocks!
This collection of specimens and hands-on activities will appear at the following library branches:
- Malin – 2307 Front St. – Tuesday, August 8th at 2 pm
- Special time! Downtown Klamath Falls – 126 S. 3rd St – Wednesday, August 9th at 10 am
- Performances at the downtown library will take place outdoors; bring a chair or blanket to sit on!
- After the show – Wednesdays from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm – stop by the grass between the library and the Klamath County courthouse for free lunch, provided by Integral Youth Services.
- Chiloquin – 140 South First St. – Wednesday, August 9th at 2 pm
- Special time! South Suburban Klamath Falls – 3625 Summers Lane – Thursday, August 10th at 10 am
- Sprague River – 23402 Sprague River Road – Thursday, August 10th at 2 pm
Take off on a geology adventure and explore our ever-changing planet Earth! Dig into rocks, fossils, earthquakes, and volcanoes through hands-on activities and rockin’ specimens, discovering the dynamic forces that have shaped Oregon’s landscape over time.
This exhibit is for all ages, but those under 10 years old need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, please.
