Summer Reading Challenge Rules & Prizes

All ages can read for prizes!

Reading over summer break builds creativity and keeps young minds sharp for the next school year. We’ve got lots of incentives to read this summer – for all ages! Pick up the tracker for your child’s age bracket at your local library.

Each age group has a daily goal to hit:

  • Ages 5 and under: 15 minutes of Early Literacy Activities
  • Ages 6 to 19: 30 minutes of reading (audiobooks and graphic novels count, too!)

Prizes

  • At 15 days of activity, visit your library for a free book and a token for free ice cream at the new Watershed Row shopping & activity center in downtown Klamath Falls!
  • After 30 days, they’ll earn another free book and a token for a free cookie at Watershed Row!
  • At 45 days, they’ll earn this year’s T-Shirt and a token for a free Climb Day at the Rock Climbing Wall at Watershed Row!

[All Watershed Row tokens must be redeemed by Saturday, Sept. 5. Books, T-shirts, and raffle prizes must be picked up from your library by Thursday, Oct. 1st. If your child needs a different size T-shirt than what they asked for at registration, let us know and we'll order you the proper size at the end of the summer. )

Adults have their own goals and prizes, too! Check back for more details.
