Challenge #1
Let’s kick off this scavenger hunt with something easy, shall we? Gather your teammates and come on down to the library. At the library, you will track down books for each of your teammates that have a face or some other portion of the body on the cover, you will then use the book covers you have chosen to create a striking group photo that will blur the lines of reality by replacing the book covers with parts of yourself. The more seamlessly the books match, the more points will be awarded. This challenge is 50 points.

Challenge #2
Put on the sunscreen because this weeks the challenge will be sending you to Veteran’s Park where you will take picture proofs of you and your team completing a series of five tasks.
- Task #1: Find and photograph a horse. It can be a fake horse, live horse, or the Trojan horse—just find one and take a group shot with it. 50 points
- Task #2: Human Pyramid. We’ve all seen them and secretly wanted to be a part of one, right? Well, now is your chance! Grab your teammates and make a human pyramid. This one will be somewhat hard to do if you are lone-wolfing it. Maybe you have some friends or family that can help you out? If not you are going to have to do some photoshopping. 50 points
- Task #3: Find a fire hydrant and take a picture with it while acting like it's your favorite celebrity. Super chill photos of your team and the fire hydrant having a super chill meet cute is no fun and therefore will get no points. I want to see drama, intrigue, screaming, vomiting-- well, maybe not vomiting but let's see some excitement people. 50 points
- Task #4: Everybody jump now! Da da da da da da da da! Okay, this has been done before by many but it’s actually pretty hard to accomplish. Everyone on your team has to jump at the same time. The picture has to have all of your team members in the air and off the ground. To receive full credit for the challenge not a toe, shoelace, or head can be touching the ground. 50 points
- Task #5: Everyone knows what flossing is nowadays, right? I’m not talking about dental hygiene, I'm talking about the oh-so enchanting dance move. Get a video of everyone on your team passionately flossing. 50 points An extra 50 points will be awarded if you and your team can get uniformed officer to floss with you!

Challenge #3
Are you still there? Did last week’s bonus challenge stump you? Are you ready to call it quits? Don’t Stop Now! This one is going to take you all over downtown and it is going to be tons of fun. You must find and photograph all the letters of the alphabet. Now I realize that it will be difficult to get everyone's faces in this series of pictures, so instead of faces we will require fingers pointing at the specific letter you are trying to photograph. The letters can be a part of menus, street signs, storefront signs, or graffiti. This challenge is worth 150 points!

Youth Rising has so many great activities for teens going on all year long that it's kind of hard to believe that they have agreed to partner with us this summer to provide even more fun! This challenge requires that you go visit the Youth Rising Drop-In Center and play a game of pool. Your whole group must be in the picture, pool sticks in hand, and looking like you are having a blast. You'll find the other part of the decoder at the Youth Rising Drop-In Center. This challenge is worth 150 points.

Dust off those artistic skills and get ready to be featured in the library’s art gallery. You and your team must choose a famous painting to recreate using art supplies found at the Youth Services Desk. You can collaborate with your team or do individual pieces. We do not expect perfection, or forgery level skill; what we are looking for here is effort. This challenge is worth 190 points.

Challenge #6
This week’s challenge is pretty straight forward. You and your team must find and take a group shot with each of the following: unicorn, angel, chicken, chef, and a rainbow. Keep in mind that I am not going to make you produce a real live unicorn. You can find a stuffed unicorn, a dog with a horn on its head, a unicorn figurine… etc. You can find images, figurines, the real thing—anything that accurately depicts the five items will work.
Challenge #7
“To be, or not to be: that is the question…” Can you guess the theme of this week’s challenge? Poetry! (you should read that while imagining several people doing jazz hands) You and your team must put together a coherent poem using only book titles. The poem must be at least three lines, it does not have to rhyme, and it cannot just be a whole bunch of random words thrown together. This challenge is worth 150 points.
CHALLENGE #7 BONUS POINTS
One hundred points will be awarded to the group that can create a poem that rhymes.
Challenge #8
We’ve all seen the haunted house videos where a group of people walk through the halls of a horrifyingly decorated and spooky place, right? That’s what this week’s challenge is, except no haunted house. You and your team with take a video of scaring a team member. All in good fun—don’t be giving anyone a heart attack. If no one is down to get the life scared out of them then you can all just pretend to scare the team member. The more theatrical, the better. This challenge is worth 100 points.
Challenge #9
It's been nine straight weeks of nothing but fun times and picture taking moments. We're getting close to the end of the summer but don't worry, the fun isn't over yet. In this challence, you and your team will be competing four different tasks that are worth a different amount of points each. You can pick and choose your tasks or do every singe one of them. The more tasks you complete, the more points you will get.
Task #1: Abbey road style crossing. Just like the famous Beatles picture. Please do not get hit by a car, empede traffic, or hurt yourself in any way. You have to be alive to win the scavenger hunt grand prize.
Task #2: Pride Rock Reenactment. It is exactly what you are thinking. That one scene from Lion King where Mufasa and Sarabi introduce their new son, Simba, to their kingdom from atop pride rock.
Task #3: Pick up 6 pieces of litter - find the grungy rainbow, take a picture of it in rainbow order, and then toss it in the nearest trash can.
Task #4: Find a mural anywhere downtown and take a group picture with it.
Challenge #10
Challenge #10 is going to test the limits of your endurance (standing still to take a picture is grueling, unforgiving work) and require an eye for detail. You and your team will find a famous piece of artwork (memes are art too)and then recreate it using nothing but yourselves, maybe some snapchat filters, and whatever happens to be laying around. Make sure to send a picture of the painting or sculptor you are recreating when you send in the finished challenge. This challenge is worth 105 points.
Challenge #11
We’re getting down to the wire here people. Only two more weeks of summer and only two more chances to rack up those points. Challenge #11 is going to be tons of fun! You and your team must create iconic book characters using supplies from the library. Think Cat in the Hat, Nancy Drew, Katniss Everdeen, etc. All art supplies will be available at the Youth Services Desk.
CHALLENGE #11 BONUS POINTS
Bonus points will be awarded if everyone from your group is from the same series.
