“Each of us is a book waiting to be written, and that book, if written, results in a person explained.” ― Thomas M. Cirignano
Memoirs are a literary nonfiction genre. More specifically, they are a collection of memories that an individual writes about moments or events, both public or private that took place in their life. Join actors and staff from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in the library for the evening on Tuesday, October 13th. Members of the Sweat company will be here to perform several scenes from the play. Afterwards, Julie Felise Dubiner and Alison Carey will lead participants in a writing workshop inspired by Sweat's playwright, Lynn Nottage, and focused on how to tell your own story.
