Foreign Film Night: Leonor Will Never Die

United States

A retired filmmaker is inspired to become an action hero after a freak accident in the pleasantly-eccentric Filipino film Leonor Will Never Die, screening on Tuesday, August 8th at 5:30 pm at the downtown Klamath County Library.

Long past the glory days of writing action-packed and gory “shoot-‘em-up” films in the 1980s, retired filmmaker Leonor Reyes yearns for the creative outlet she had in spinning larger-than-life drama, and grieves the loss of her son, Ronwaldo. A freak accident involving an old television set puts Leonor in a coma – and launches her into the fantastical realm of her unproduced screenplay, with a fictional version of her son as the film’s muscly action hero...

Leonor Will Never Die is unrated, in Tagalog and Filipino with subtitles, and runs for 1 hour, 41 minutes.
