The Book to Film Book Group reads books that got adapted into movies, and gathers to watch the film adaptation on the last Wednesday of the month at 5:30 pm.
This month's book is The Power of the Dog, a Western romantic drama written by Thomas Savage, and its Oscar-winning film adaptation. Tensions rise between brothers Phil and George when George moves his new wife Rose into the ranch house he shares with Phil. Phil lashes out at Rose and her son from a previous marriage, Peter. Peter watches as his mother starts to sink into the alcoholism that took his father's life, and begins to get closer to Phil...
