Summer Scares: The Wolf Man (1941)

The Klamath County Library closes out our summer of classic horror films on Tuesday, August 13th at 5:30 pm with 1941’s The Wolf Man.

A young man (played by horror icon Lon Cheney Jr.) returns to his ancestral home in Wales to reconcile with his father following his brother’s death in a hunting accident. When he is bitten in a wolf attack, he contracts lycanthropy, turning into a monstrous werewolf at night. Can he escape the curse…?

Book to Film Book Group: Emily

The Book to Film Book Group watches film adaptations of books and discusses how they compare to the originals on the last Thursday of the month at 5:30 pm.

We're reading Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë – available now at the downtown library's Information and Reference desk – then watch and discuss the 2022 biopic Emily on Thursday, August 29th at 5:30pm. [The film is rated R and runs for 2 hours, 10 minutes.]
