Our regular lineup of youth programming is taking the last two weeks of December off (except for teen Dungeons & Dragons groups) so we can bring you some extra special activities while school’s out for winter break.
For teens 12-18:
- Saturday, December 17th from 10 am to noon: Meet Santa! Mr. Claus is visiting the library for photo-ops with fans and to gather your gift ideas! Stick around for snacks and crafts. For all ages.
- Saturday, December 17th to Saturday, December 31st: Scavenger Hunt! Find clues throughout the library for a prize! Pick up your checklist at the Youth Services desk. For all ages.
- Tuesday, December 20th at 1 pm: Winter Break Crafts! Need a last-minute gift? Why not something homemade!
- Wednesday, December 21st from 11 am to 4 pm: Teen Magic: the Gathering Tournament! Play with cards from “Jumpstart 2022,” the collectible card game’s newest set made specifically for beginners to the game. Everyone who plays can take home the cards they play with, and we’ll have prizes for the top players! Total beginners welcome. Lunch and snacks included! Registration required! Stop by the Youth Services desk or call 541-882-8894 to sign up.
- Thursday, December 22nd at 10 am: Donuts & Mandala Art! Enjoy some sweet snacks while getting in touch with your creative side.
- Sunday, December 25th and Monday, December 26th: Library closed
- Tuesday, December 27th at 1 pm: Card Games! Play board-game-like titles like Sushi Go and Fluxx, or shuffle up the cards you got at the Magic: the Gathering tournament!
- Wednesday, December 28th at 1 pm: Teen Lotería! Play the classic Mexican game of chance for prizes!
- Thursday, December 29th at 1 pm: Winter Break Crafts! Relax with some holiday-themed craft projects.
