The Christmas Bird Count is an annual birding and citizen science tradition! Join Bird Alliance of Oregon, Klamath Basin Audubon Society, and the Klamath County Library for a family-friendly version on Saturday, December 13th.
We’ll meet at the downtown library at 10am for donuts and hot chocolate, and then participants will split up to count birds at several nearby locations. Special bird guides and count sheets will be provided. At 1pm, meet back at the library for pizza, crafts, and prizes. We can also discuss the neat birds everyone found! For kids of all ages and their families; no registration required.
This event is intended for youth - if you're an adult birder interested in participating in the formal Christmas Bird Count, contact Wes Stone at wstone@klamathlibrary.org for more information.
