Bald Eagle Nest Presentation [Plus Friends Quarterly Meeting]

United States

January in the Klamath Basin means Bald Eagles start setting up their nests! Join us at the downtown Klamath County Library on Sunday, January 11th at 2pm for a presentation on a local mated pair of Bald Eagles.

The presentation will be both hosted at the downtown library and livestreamed via Zoom - contact folklamath@gmail.com for the streaming link.

Birding enthusiast Michael Kaibel has been observing the pair for five years, so he's had a lot of time to notice their particular habits and practices!

Kaibel is a longtime resident of Klamath County, who worked for nearly 30 years for the Fremont-Winema National Forest. Since his retirement in 2005, he returned to his hobby of wildlife photography. He currently resides in Merrill.

This discussion is brought to you by the Friends of the Klamath County Library, who will have their quarterly business meeting after Kaibel is finished. You don't have to be a member of the Friends to attend. (You're welcome to join the Friends at any time, though! Check out their page for more details on how they help the library and how you can sign up.)
