The Klamath County libraries are kicking off the 2024 Summer Reading Program Family Event Series with a returning guest: magician Stefano Iaboni!
His tour of the county will visit five library branches over three days:
Kick off a summer of fun with games, crafts, snacks and more on Monday, June 24th from 1 pm to 3 pm! (This is also a great time to sign up for Summer Reading Program, hint hint!) For all ages.
Join us on the last Tuesday of the month for crafts made with antique techniques!
Update your summer wardrobe with a literally “classic” garment: the Ancient Greek chiton! This tunic was worn by both men and women in antiquity. We’ll provide the sewing machines, thread and such – just bring a large rectangle of lightweight fabric. (A sari or a twin-size bedsheet is enough fabric for most folks.)
This event is for crafters of all ages.
We’re transforming teacups into whimsical homes for fairies! We’ll provide lots of materials, but feel free to bring any sparkly bits and bobs from home to customize your fairy garden however you want! [If you have any spare teacups lying around, we’ll take them! Drop them off at the Youth Services desk.] Space is limited for this event so registration is required. All Klamath County libraries will be closed on Wednesday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth. No materials will be due on a day that the libraries are closed.
