Klamath Basin Genealogical Society - DNA Interest Group

The Klamath Basin Genealogical Society DNA Interest Group, which focuses on using DNA data in genealogy research, meets at the downtown Klamath County Library on the first Wednesday of the month at 1 pm.

The full Society meets on the second Thursday of each month at 6 pm.

The general public is always welcome to join in.

Real Reads Book Group: Empire of Pain (Parts 2&3)

Read books about real issues! The Real Reads Book Group tackles a variety of current social issues – race, gender, immigration, poverty, criminal justice, and more – with nonfiction and memoir titles. We meet on the first Saturday of the month at 3pm at the downtown Klamath County Library.

The group will be discussing chapters 11-29 of Empire of Pain: The Secret History of the Sackler Family by Patrick Radden Keefe on Saturday, March 1st at 3pm

Adult Writers Group

The Adult Writers Group meets on the second Sunday of the month at 2pm, and it’s open to anyone who wants to improve their writing skills in a positive environment. No previous writing experience necessary!

We’ll have writing prompts and discussion to get you going, and feel free to bring in something you’re working on to workshop with the group.

The Loyd De Lap Law Library inside the downtown Klamath County Library sells a variety of do-it-yourself packets of legal forms and templates for various family law tasks, including filing for divorce, applying for guardianship of a family member, and more. Get a walkthrough on how these packets work from Klamath County law clerks!
