[SOUTH] Mason Bees: Small, But So Effective! (Plus Northside Garden Club Meeting)

United States

On the last Tuesday of each month at 11am, the Northside Garden Club features a talk with either tips to help your garden and landscaping thrive, or of local environmental interest. (Note the date for November, though - we're hosting the talk on Tuesday, Nov. 17th to accommodate the Thanksgiving holiday.)

You don’t have to be a member to attend.

This month, Master Gardener Barb Rainey will highlight the humble Mason bee - a solitary bee with a dramatically higher pollination rate than honeybees. (Just 250 female Mason bees can pollinate an acre of apple trees, a task that would take tens of thousands of honeybees!)
