There are over a thousand species of rhododendrons, best known for their clusters of large, ruffled flowers. Join us at the South Suburban Branch Library, 3625 Summers Lane, on Tuesday, April 22nd at 11am for an introduction to this beautiful family of plants.
Northside Garden Club member and avid rhododendron enthusiast Nihala Thompkins will sharing her knowledge of rhododendrons worldwide, including three species native to Oregon. She’ll also talk about the rhododendron’s uses in medicine and traditional cultures throughout history.
Join us next month for another botanical topic! On the last Tuesday of each month at 10am, the Northside Garden Club features a talk with tips to help your garden and landscaping thrive. You don’t have to be a member to attend.
