Explore three tales of romance and regret in the Japanese short film anthology Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy, screening on July 11th at 5:30 pm at the downtown Klamath County Library.
Written and directed by Oscar winner Ryusuke Hamaguchi, Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy is split into three segments: “Magic (or Something Less Assuring),” where a model discovers her best friend is dating her ex-boyfriend; “Door Wide Open,” where a college student convinces his lover to seduce his professor to create a scandal; and “Once Again,” in which two women have a chance encounter resulting from a mistake – but end up having some emotional catharsis together anyway.
Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy is unrated, in Japanese with subtitles, and runs for 2 hours, 1 minute.
