Foreign Film Night: Vermiglio

United States

Join us Wednesday, April 1st at 5:30 pm for a screening of Vermiglio, an Italian drama about a young couple in a small mountain village during World War II.

Quiet life in the village is interrupted when Pietro – a handsome, mysterious soldier – arrives after deserting his post in Germany. Lucia, the eldest daughter of the village's lone teacher, falls for him immediately. But this isn't a romance movie with a happily-ever-after ending. These are ordinary people doing their best. Writer/director Maura Alpero based the film on stories handed down through her own family, and Vermiglio is as untidy as real life can be...

Vermiglio is unrated, in Italian and Ladin with subtitles, and runs for 1 hour, 59 minutes.
