Foreign Film Night is now on a new night!
Join us Wednesday, January 7th at 5:30 pm for a screening of The Breaking Ice, a moody character drama about three young people who meet each other by chance in a city near China's border with North Korea.
Tour guide Nana – who is going through the motions at her job – meets up with tourist Haofeng, a wealthy young man on vacation from a busy life in finance back in Shanghai. She invites him to join her and her boyfriend, a restaurant worker named Xiao. The three bond quickly over a drunken weekend, and influence each other across class hierarchies in ways they could never have predicted...
The Breaking Ice is unrated, in Mandarin, Korean and English with subtitles, and runs for 1 hour, 37 minutes.
