Join us for a screening of the German romantic “dramedy” Afire on Thursday, June 12th at 5:30 pm!
Leon is a writer who’s wound a little too tight. Shunning human company, he obsesses over words, struggling to put the perfect words on paper. To get some peace and quiet to concentrate, he heads for an extended say at a friend Felix’s holiday home on the Baltic Sea. He’s not alone in the house, though – he finds himself sharing it with the affable Nadja, who’s having an enthusiastic sex life on the other side of the house’s paper-thin walls. Leon finds himself unwillingly bundled into a holiday adventure with Felix, Nadja, and Nadja’s lover Devid – while summer forest fires rage nearby…
The film is unrated, in German with subtitles, and runs for 1 hour, 43 minutes.
