Our The Aging Journey seminar series continues!
Staff from Klamath Basin Behavioral Health (KBBH) are giving presentations on a variety of topics of interest to older folks Thursdays at 10 am at the downtown Klamath County Library.
Each presentation can be attended as a stand-alone; stop by for the topics that interest you!
Join us for:
- Thursday, Oct. 1st: Naloxone: What It Is and How to Get It. Naloxone (also known by the brand name Narcan) is a powerful tool in the battle against the opioid epidemic!
- Thursday, Oct. 8th: Keeping Your Mind & Body Youthful. Age is just a number if you stay active and whimsical!
- Thursday, Oct. 15th: Volunteering with JustServe. It's easier to give back to your community than you think!
- Thursday, Oct. 22nd: Dental Health & the Mouth-Body Connection. Did you know that good oral health may reduce your risk of Alzheimer's disease?
- Thursday, Oct. 29th: Thinking, Language, and Intelligence. Learn all about problem solving, how ideas form, the benefits of speaking more than one language and more!
KBBH Behavioral Health Specialists, Patricia "Patty" Card, and Kelli Bowers will show you how you and your family can prepare for challenges and celebrate triumphs as you age. Card has worked at KBBH for more than 35 years. Bowers has worked in the field of human services and social work since 1984 in Utah and Oregon. Both currently specialize in the mental health needs of older adults.
