The Aging Journey: Controlling Self-Criticism

United States

Our The Aging Journey seminar series continues!

Staff from Klamath Basin Behavioral Health (KBBH) are giving presentations on a variety of topics of interest to older folks Thursdays at 10 am at the downtown Klamath County Library.

Each presentation can be attended as a stand-alone; stop by for the topics that interest you!

Join us for:

  • Thursday, March 5th: Controlling Self-Criticism. We live in a society that doesn't always value older people as much as it should, and sometimes that can manifest as "a little voice inside" telling you that you're not good enough. Develop strategies for confidence with us!
  • Thursday, March 12th: CPAP and BiPAP Machines. These devices help you breathe at night. Learn about how they work and what disorders they treat!
  • Thursday, March 19th: No meeting.
  • Thursday, March 26th: Resources for All. Meet some of the organizations who can help families just like yours!

KBBH Behavioral Health Specialists, Patricia "Patty" Card, and Kelli Bowers will show you how you and your family can prepare for challenges and celebrate triumphs as you age. Card has worked at KBBH for more than 35 years. Bowers has worked in the field of human services and social work since 1984 in Utah and Oregon. Both currently specialize in the mental health needs of older adults.
