Book to Film Book Group: If Beale Street Could Talk

The Book to Film Book Group is back! We'll be watching film adaptations of books and discuss how they compare to the originals on the last Thursday of the month at 5:30 pm.

We're reading If Beale Street Could Talk by James Baldwin – available now at the downtown library's Information and Reference desk – then watch and discuss its 2018 film adaptation on Thursday, May 30th at 5:30pm. [The film is rated R and runs for 1 hour, 59 minutes.]

Adult Board Game Night

Build a beautiful tile mosaic in Azul, become a train magnate in Ticket to Ride, win a magical fight in Dungeon Brawl and much more! (Feel free to bring your favorite game to share – aim for something you can teach a table of 3-6 players in an hour or so at most.)

For more information, call 541-882-8894, or visit the downtown library’s Information & Reference desk.

Adult Writers Group

The Adult Writers Group meets on the second and fourth Sundays of the month at 2pm, and it’s open to anyone who wants to improve their writing skills in a positive environment. No previous writing experience necessary!

We’ll have writing prompts and discussion to get you going, and feel free to bring in something you’re working on to workshop with the group.

For more information, please call 541-882-8894.
