Come to Your Senses: Nature Writing for Adults

Discover the joys of nature writing with author Marina Richie! The downtown Klamath County Library is hosting “Come to Your Senses: Nature Writing for Adults” on Saturday, May 20th from 1 pm to 3 pm.

Richie will walk participants through engaging all five senses to take in details from the environment. She’ll take you through writing activities to stretch your vocabulary, jazz up your sentence rhythm, and broaden your metaphors.

Conversations On Death & Dying

Whether you’re working through grief or making end-of-life arrangements, conversations about death and dying are very important – and, often, awkward to have. Local death doula Marci McEnroe is hosting a monthly gathering at the downtown Klamath County Library to help you get comfortable with these topics: join us on Wednesday, May 24th at 6 pm.

Adult Writers Group

The creative writers group for adults is back at the downtown Klamath County Library! The revamped group will meet on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 2 pm to 3 pm, and it’s open to anyone who wants to improve their writing skills in a positive environment. No previous writing experience necessary!

We’ll have writing prompts and discussion to get you going, and feel free to bring in something you’re working on to workshop with the group.

Library Advisory Board

The Library Advisory Board meets at noon on the third Wednesday of each month. Interested members of the public are welcome to attend.

The Board is meeting both online and in person. If you would like to attend in person, please call the library at 541-882-8894 ahead of your visit. If you would like to attend via Zoom teleconferencing, please email Library Director Nathalie Johnston at njohnston@klamathlibrary.org to request a video link.
