On Thursday, January 25th at 6 pm, the downtown Klamath County Library will host the latest in the “Lay Person Legal” seminar series: a tour through recent changes to Landlord/Tenant Law in Oregon, with a focus on eviction regulation and tenants’ rights.
Attendees will get a better appreciation of how the legal system works, particularly if they are attempting to navigate the courts without a lawyer.
Do you have a jigsaw puzzle that isn’t quite as much fun now that you’ve solved it multiple times? Exchange it for a fresh one at the downtown Klamath County Library! Stop by on Saturday, January 20th at 11 am and trade puzzles with other jigsaw enthusiasts! (Please double-check that all the pieces are present, if possible.)
All puzzle sizes are welcome, but please no children’s puzzles.
Let’s play Magic: the Gathering! Bring a deck of your own or play a casual game with some of our “Jumpstart” decks. Or learn to draft with our Noob Cube! (There's usually a few folks looking for a Commander game, too.)
We’ll teach you to play if you’re a complete beginner - and you can keep the deck you play with! For ages 12 and up, including adults.
Due to inclement weather, this month's Genealogical Society meeting is canceled. We apologize for any invoncenience.

The general public is always welcome to join in at both meetings.
The Mystery Readers Book Group is the perfect book club if you love a good mystery! The group will be reading a wide range of mysteries – from cozy whodunits to fast-paced thrillers to true crime. We meet on the third Thursday of the month at 4pm at the downtown Klamath County Library.
We'll be discussing The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman on Thursday, January 18th at 4pm.
Join Elaine and Bill Deutschman as they take us on a travel retrospective of their recent visit to Brittany in northwestern France! They’ll be presenting about their trip at the downtown Klamath County Library on Wednesday, January 17th at 2 pm.
The presentation will be followed by a brief business meeting of the Friends, and will also be streamed online – email the Friends at folklamath@gmail.com for the Zoom link.
Now meeting quarterly!
Make your voice heard in administrative issues at the library! The Board is meeting both online and in person, and is always open to the public. If you would like to attend via Zoom teleconferencing, please email library staff at weblib@klamathlibrary.org to request a video link.
The creative writers group for adults is back at the downtown Klamath County Library! The revamped group will meet on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 2 pm to 3 pm, and it’s open to anyone who wants to improve their writing skills in a positive environment. No previous writing experience necessary!
We’ll have writing prompts and discussion to get you going, and feel free to bring in something you’re working on to workshop with the group.
