Memoir Book Club: The Bridge Ladies

The Memoir Book Club meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 6pm to discuss a variety of perspectives on the human condition: tales of humor, tragedy, persecution and triumph. You can pick up a copy of the current title at the Reference and Information Desk.

The Memoir Book Club is currently meeting online via Zoom. To register, email Charla at coppenlander@klamathlibrary.org.

We'll be discussing The Bridge Ladies by Betsy Lerner on Tuesday, January 5th at 6pm.

The History of the Klamath Tribes

The Klamath, Modoc, and Yahooskin peoples – collectively known today as the Klamath Tribes – have lived on and stewarded the Klamath Basin region since time immemorial. Discuss some of this history in an online Zoom meeting with Perry Chocktoot, Jr., Director of the Klamath Tribes’ Culture and Heritage Department, on Wednesday, January 20th at 2pm.

The presentation will be followed by a brief business meeting of the Friends.

Great Decisions 2021 Registration Period

Great Decisions 2021, a program of the United States Foreign Policy Association hosted by the Klamath County Library, will discuss foreign policy issues for eight weeks on Thursdays at 1pm starting February 4th. The group will be holding all discussions via Zoom. (Since this is the first time the group is meeting online, we also ask that participants join us for a “technology check” meeting on Monday, February 1st at 1pm to make sure everyone can connect appropriately.)
