The Library Advisory Board meets at noon on the third Wednesday of each month at the downtown Klamath County Library. The public is invited, but please call 541-882-8894 in advance if you plan to attend, as the downtown library is closed at that time. There’s a bright future for the Klamath Basin as the scenic backdrop for feature films, says Klamath Film Executive Director Kurt Liedtke. Most recently, Klamath Falls served as the setting for the 2019 independent comedy Phoenix, Oregon – which, through an odd strike of luck, became the #1 box office release in America in March 2020. Discuss the history and future of filmmaking in our area in an online conversation on Wednesday, March 17th at 2pm.
Classics I've Pretended to Read is an online group hosted by Klamath County librarians Charla and Amanda. It's a great way to fit a book club into your schedule with no meetings to attend! You can find the group's discussion page here (you'll need to make a free Goodreads account to post). This group focuses on American and British fiction classics.
The Adult Book Club meets on the second Thursday of every month at 4:30pm. Copies of the current month's book are available at the Reference and Information Desk.
