Mountaineering in the Klamath Basin & Elsewhere

Mountain climber Nate Ganong will take us on a travelogue of his journeys on Wednesday, June 26th at 2 pm at the downtown Klamath County Library.

Ganong will discuss his expeditions to crags, mountains and volcanoes both near – Gearhart, McLoughlin, Shasta – and far (as far as South America!). He’ll go through the what, where, and how of high-altitude climbing – including the specialized equipment, techniques and challenges that make this sport both dangerous and exhilarating.

Time Travel Crafts: Ancient Greek Chiton

Join us on the last Tuesday of the month for crafts made with antique techniques!

We’ll provide the sewing machines, thread and such – just bring a large rectangle of lightweight fabric. (A sari or a twin-size bedsheet is enough fabric for most folks.)

This event is for crafters of all ages.

Foreign Film Night: Plan 75

Plan 75 follows three ordinary citizens as they confront the callous indifference of a world ready to dispose of an entire generation that has been deemed no longer valuable…
